Most Loved to Most Hated

"My decision has been made, I will be taking my talents down to South Beach, Florida this next year to join the Miami Heat." (LeBron James) Those plethora of words made Lebron James become one of the most loved persons in Ohio to probably the most hated in all Ohio.
James grew up in Akron as a boy before he became rich and famous and move to close by Cleveland to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The love by Ohioans began for LeBron when he was in high school playing basketball for Akron St. Vincent St. Mary's High School. He put on a show for people all four years in high school, especially during the State Tournament games as he showed his high flying silky smooth basketball moves to impress fans and scouts every where. He was the most dominant player of his age and still is, and everyone knows how crazy Cleveland fans can get so you can see why people loved him so much. LeBron within his first 4 seasons in Cleveland brought them from a laughing stock in the NBA (National Basketball Association) to the NBA finals where they ended up getting beat by the San Antonio Spurs.
Not only did LeBron just up and leave Cleveland to go play in Miami next year, but he made everyone wait anxiously to hear his decision and had his own 1-hour television special to announce it. During the special he stated what i had quoted before and in them few seconds i believe LeBron James became on the most hated people especially in the sports world in Ohio's history.

  1. Ok. I take it that you are not pleased with LeBron's decision to take his talents to Florida, but do you really think he is one of the most hated people in the history of Ohio sports?

  2. I agree with this post. I have no problem with him taking his talents to a new city to continue his basketball career, but I don't like how he made everyone wait for him to announce his decision, when it kind of seemed like he had known long before where he was going to continue his career at. I also do not like how there was a special show on ESPN for him to announce where he was going to continue his NBA career at. I agree that he has become one of the most hated figures in sports history in the state of Ohio.

  3. @TMB. Yes i do think he has became one of the most hated figures in Ohio Sports history. Not only I think it but it has been said many times in the news and on ESPN. Not in my lifetime or in any research I have done has people in Ohio acted the way the have toward any other player than they have toward LeBron about a sports decision.

  5. I believe that LeBron may have just ruined his career and legacy. If he would have stayed in Cleveland and won a championship by himself he would be one of the greatest players ever. Now with his supporting cast he may be looked down upon, and not be considered one of the NBA greats.
